All the way from the USA!

I've been oohing and ahhing over these gorgeous hand printed t-shirts and onesies by Little Lark (of Portland Oregon, USA) ever since I opened the shop. So I decided to bite the bullet and actually get a big box shipped over. I'm glad I did because the garments are actually better in real life than in the pictures.

Most are on super soft organic cotton and come with their own calico drawstring bag, perfect for gift giving - these are some of my favorites...

Gravity 1 vs Shelf 0...

As the title suggests, although a bit obscurely, my shelves had a little bit of an issue with gravity this week. I walked in on Tuesday morning and thought I had been broken into, because the place looked trashed! Sort of relieved when i realised that the bolts had just pulled out of the wall and everything had just slid off onto the floor.
Luckily Mr Cinti borrowed some power tools and a fluro fleece clad workman from his construction site and saved the day.
So after much cleaning and re-organising...

...a rainbow of clothes to choose from, because girls shouldn't only wear pink!
Loving these new hair clips in store...

Japanese surprises...

Excited to receive some lovely Japanese craft books from here, looking forward to using some of my fabric to make some of these lovely simple designs. Even though the instructions are all in Japanese I'm sure I can muddle my way through. The seller included a lovely fat quarter which i may use for the pockets of these smocks.
I'm also really loving this dress.
And then a courier arrived with a parcel filled to the brim with these fabulous pants and shorts. As you can see I couldn't resist displaying them in the window. The shorts are now for sale at Poppet in the Post.

Souvenir...

Just admiring a little bit of my own handiwork - have really caught the sewing bug and I'm making the most of it while it lasts...I wonder if the person that bought these souvenir tea towels, would have imagined that a little girl would be wearing them one day? I'm sure they had a lovely time on their trip. Were they visiting friends or taking a whistle stop coach tour?...'and to your right you will see Big Ben...'

Drum Fun...

My favorite toys are back in stock. These lovely handmade drums by Dobbin and Drum appeal to children (and adults) of all ages. They are made in Queensland from recycled and sustainable materials and have a lovely mellow sound that won't drive parents crazy. Read about them here.

Sewing and general silliness...

I finally got motivated to start sewing on Sunday after several weeks of procrastinating. Thought Skirts would be a good start, and an interesting way to show off some of my fabrics.
This one is my favorite, made from a vintage Austrian souvenir table cloth (Size4-5 if you're wondering). Buy it over at Poppet in the Post
And because some of my most discerning customers tell me "...if it's not pink and twirly, it's not worth wearing..."I've had to get over my aversion to pink and make these pretty skirts.
PINK - check!
TWIRLY - check!
What more could a little girl ask?
(available in sizes 3 and 5)
And did I mention silliness? Remember George Michael in the Faith video?
Yes me, in the shop dancing around with this mini wooden guitar, sans stubble...

I'm glad i take pictures of all of my favorite things that pass through the shop, on their way to a good home - like these guys - can't get them any more - shame - But at least I can have a bit of fun with my photos.

Nanoou is here...

My Nanoou summer order has arrived today, a lot quicker than I expected considering Denmark is so far away, anyway I ordered some winter stock for next winter (so I didn't miss out on my faves) and since it's already here, and its freezing outside I thought you guys might like to get some of it now. Remember these gorgeous little pants? Well now I have lots of pairs in lots of sizes so nobody misses out. They also come in black stripes. Get them on Poppet in the Post now. Get a sneak peek of what I'll have in store here.

Playstation = guilt = flowers...

I had a little chuckle to myself when these lovely flowers were delivered to the shop today...I'd love to think that Mr Cinti sent them as a sign of his unconditional love and everlasting devotion, but (call me cynical) I suspect they are to subdue his feelings of guilt after spending a squillion dollars on some super duper playstation machine yesterday! Shhh. don't say anything, I like my flowers and if that means the bins will never get put out because he's shooting some zombie aliens, then so be it...make hay while the sun shines I say.
